My wife and I adopted Cappuccino yesterday from our local shelter, she's a 5 year old dutch. On her notes, it was mentioned that her uterus was removed, but they kept her ovaries intact.

Is removing the ovaries a much more invasive procedure as opposed to the uterus? Is there health risks we should be worried about with them left in there? Is this gonna cause issues with bonding her to our neutered male?

She isn't showing any hormonal behavior with us like our male did before his neuter.
