Please I need moral support

Foot the Elderbun (12m) is not doing well tonight. His old age has given him a lot of pain. He got his dose of metacam but is still in very obvious pain

There is no emergency exotic vet anywhere close to here so he needs to make it into the morning. Even with the metacam his pain is there and I feel so terrible about it. I’ve just cried for the past couple of hours and babied him

If I could take his pain into myself instead I would

He has been my best friend for 12 years. He started in a small single wide rental trailer with my then boyfriend and myself at the early stages of our relationship

We own a house now and I’m still with the same man. We have experienced losses, gains, pain and love together. The 3 of us.

My heart weeps as he ages and I see him slowing down. I can’t breathe around the thought of losing him.
