I rescued a rabbit about a year ago that was completely matted, like literally every inch of him. It has been a very long process with some set backs(molting, stubbornness)but I'm finally in the final stretch. I try to do what I can by cutting and then shave where I have to. I'm pretty much down to all shaving at this point. (Yes, I know shaving can be risky but don't worry I've been very careful and patient and he is fine) Anyway, his tail has been matted and I got a lot out by cutting but was afraid to go further with scissors because I couldn't really tell where some of the tail was so I shaved it today. He looks so silly with the little stick tail. Anyway, if you ever wondered what a rabbits tail looks like without dirt, here you go.
