On the right I used a lot less water and was much more controlled so there was less separation and I added in the individual pigments from the color (cobalt green pg50 and quin violet pv19) for accents.

On the left I used a lot of water and also used the two single pigments for accents also.

My learning was that granulating color effects work well on the first layer but if you layer more on top it gets muddy and you lose the effect.

What do you guys think? Any tips on how to best utilize granulating pigments?
