First watercolor in months
![]() | This is downtown Annapolis, MD, on a winter's day a few years ago. I cannot remember ever seeing the water as calm as it was that day. A flock of ducks was in another part of the harbor on the water, and I could FEEL the happiness radiating from them. It was unusually quiet, joyful, and serene, and I hope to always remember it. I still haven't succeeded in getting a streak-free sky, but I am pleasantly surprised with how the water turned out. I didn't use black watercolor paint, but I made my own black with viridian green, red, and dark blue. The paper also started coming off the block, so maybe I should try using less water for wet on wet. Anyhow, it's done. 12x16 in. Calm Sailboat Sunset [link] [comments] |
