Picked up the LCD-2C’s for Black Friday and thought I’d do a direct comparison against my Stealths. To start… they’re excellent! The Hifimans are very balanced and measured (dynamics-wise) whereas the Audezes have a great intensity and intimacy to them that feels aggressive without being too aggressive (if that makes sense). And the bass, yes Audeze lives up to the hype. It’s not quite as tight and controlled as the Hifimans, but it’s still very clean and distinct. Plenty of it too if you eq them. Lastly I should mention how insane vocals sound on these. I love the track Hypotheticals to test female vocals and dayyum… such warmth and richness ????

While maybe not quite as wide and detailed as the Hifimans, they’re just so damn easy and fun to listen to. I think they’re still available at $400? If so I’d grab yours, definitely a steal.

Oh and one last thing, they’re actually great for gaming. That intensity I mentioned earlier lends itself to being very immersive and epic for the games I tested. (Arc Raiders & BF6) Also the center imaging is nice and strong to help you locate enemies for fps titles. Not quite god tier but definitely on the better end of headphones I’ve tried. If you’re looking for an excellent all rounder (music/gaming) these are a great choice.
