Christmas came early this year for me. I never really gave etymotic a fair shake as was afraid of the deep insert. I'm using an xduoo X2S as a shuffle dap and the er2xr sound amazing. The deep insert is weird as first but the isolation truly is outstanding and very comfortable.

I can wax poetically about the hifiman he1kv1, the og he-6 and the he6v2, but I have never had the chance to listen to a pair of Aryas. They changed today. Wow if you can get them for 500-600 I think they might be the best deal in high end audio. I have seen fr graphs and thought the treble would be too much for my extreme metal library but I have been pleasantly surprised. Just like the he1kv1, no matter what I throw at these, they just sound amazing.
