I find the 800s to be decent but not exceptional on a solid state amp. Tubes all the way for me, they really transform this headphone.

Please share your experiences on owning this headphone and the gear you drive it on!

I am using a Qutest running through a tube pre(6SN7 NOS tubes) into my SS amp. I find the tubes tame sibilance while increasing perceived soundstage.
