have 2 six hunges, so i thought might as well try doing it.

printed srh1540 sized pad adapters and closed cups, then tried to tune the thing.

pads are ath m series sized fabric pads, don’t have any leather pads that fit atm. under the adapter, i put 1mm felt to try lessen the treble.

cups have strips of dynamat clones, a layer of 3mm felt, some foam, and a little polyfill inside.

sounds closed, as expected. but it does have some boxiness, that makes it sound a bit weird. bass isn’t as prominent as the original sound. it sounds even more relaxed, to the point of being kinda boring. still trying to figure out if it has too much midbass bloom, or too little upper mids.

i might make my own cup design, but it’s just enough to satisfy my curiosity for now.
