I’ve noticed that round earpads often create an empty cavity behind the lower part of my ears, which tends to weaken the bass response.

Because of this, I struggle to understand why some headphone manufacturers still choose circular earpad designs when oval-shaped pads naturally follow the contours of the ear and usually provide a better seal.
