I wanted to bring up this discussion to better understand how to judge or buy Vinyls (either new old stock or used).

Is it true that the newer releases of vinyls (example Daft Punk 180g or maybe newer prints of older albums) are CD quality or digital “master” (if that’s what you call it) reproductions? - if true, what’s the community feedback on the sound, is it better to just buy a CD in that case?

Secondly, I’d like to get some sources or sellers where I could buy original stamped records (not digital remasters) - is there a way to tell?

Finally, would love to get a top five list of well recorded old school vinyls (Classic rock, jazz, blues)
