I owned the Clear OGs about 5 years ago, paid $990 for them on the Headphones.com listing. Sold them at the time as I couldn't justify the price at that point in my life. Remember liking the sound for some of the unique properties it had. Also these are just the best looking cans bar none, according to me. (;

That same subjective "holographic" staging quality is present here, along with the "punch"/"slam" that people talk about with Focals. Couldn't tell you why they sound that way, maybe placebo. Maybe some quality in the FR.

These make my HD6XX sound boring. The bass is my favorite part, they have a lot more gusto than what the measurements would suggest. While they aren't my preferred tonal balance, still fun. The 6XX are still more natural sounding, and the Clear has a tendency for sibilance on some tracks. But these are just so fun in the low end and are beautiful to look at. Are they worth nearly $800? Ehhhh..... Maybe just stick to the 1/4 price 6X0 models. But they are a nice luxury for sure.
