I'm currently in the process of building the Omegas, but it is currently not possible to get the Choice Suede Pads in Germany. Therefore, I've gotten myself a pair of Elite Velours and I'd like to know if these are noticeably different, compared to the "right" ones?

There are a couple of other differences; first and foremost, I'm currently using different drivers, the tymphany ones are in the mail. Secondly, I've slightly changed the driver cap design, which - going by my ears - didn't change the sound perceivably. By deafult, the treble was pretty unbearable, Beyerdynamic would be proud, but by adding a small cutout of papertowel, that is no longer an issue.

u/Epsilon-D have you tried different pads on these?
