I was in the market for a new Dac/Amp and I actually got a JDS Labs Element IV from ebay. Brilliant bit of kit, but had to return it as it was running hot! And although the warranty was transferable, the seller originally bought the unit used too, so couldn't trace the order number, email address of the original owner.

Anyways, got a refund and decided to get a separate amp as I like the sound of the iFi Neo idsd. Was looking at various amps and decided on the L70 for £270 brand new. Power is overkill and could've bought a cheaper amp, but honestly, just loved the aesthetic and it pairs well with the Neo in that regard.

Not going to pretend the amp has made a massive difference, although it is subtle. Feels like bad sis slightly tighter and vocals/treble detailed, but again it's slight.

I will probably use the rest of the refund to upgrade my turntable stylus, so it's probably worked out for the best
