2018 Alain Hudelot Noellat Bourgogne
| one of my favorite producers and Bourgogne wines. I bought this for $30 reliably every year until recently. At $50-$60 its not a cheap Bourgogne anymore but considering its sourced from vineyards around chambolle-musigny, perhaps this is still worth looking at even for the price. This has a lot of secondary notes on the nose. forest floor, some bright red fruit still coming through with spice. On the palate this is medium-full bodied with excellent balance and acidity. plenty of fruit left but with a softness after 7 years. I would recommend drinking this now since it's in such a great spot. I think this wine drinks more like a 1er then a Bourgogne. 92 PTS 30$ [link] [comments] |
