Provenance and handling was questionable, and the vintage is known for universally being a clunker…but we couldn’t get enough of this.

Nose: Tobacco, leather, stewed raspberries, light smoke, char of a roasted red pepper, caramelized sugar

Tasting: Black pepper, stewed red fruit (strawberries, raspberries), hint of vanilla, baking spices (clove, cinnamon, etc.)

A lot of fun. Cork was FUBAR.
