| First time trying a petnat, made in northern italy in the venetian region from the moscato giallo grape and produced by Maeli. Similar to Moscato d'asti but dry instead of sweet. Very aromatic and funky, smells very floral specifically elderflowers and some pear. Tastes of elderflowers, almonds, lemon peel and a heavy perfumed somewhat bitter final tone. Overall the wine is interesting but not amazing. Maybe not for me, but can't say it's badly made for the price 16$. [link] [comments] |
