Just one example of wine I stumbled on in a lisboa wine bar from a new generation wine makers, natural yeast, local grapes bical and maria gomez, matured on used oak. So clean yet full of flavour, current vintage sold out on the first batch they made (i tried to get a few more bottles but no luck), portugal is back on track (the cheap bulk wines in europe moved from the south to the east of europe so they have to move as well and they did).

Another producer from that region Filipa Pato, also recommanded.

Proud of their region, local grapes. 10 euro a glass at the bar, i guess 20-25 euro a bottle local price.

So much flavour and freshness at the same time, low alcohol due to the atlantic ocean.

WOW, also the same in Germany, France and Italy. Be authentic and dont mess around too much, wine without makeup is the slogan from Filipa Pato.

I was only in Portugal for 4 days, but it will get a more prominent place in my wine cellar.
