I’m not a wine expert. I’m one of those people that drinks wine and enjoys it but i haven’t really gotten in to it.

My dad bought this wine when I was born and had been saying my whole life how he’s saving it for my wedding day. It was very special to him. He took meticulous care to keep it stored perfectly. I got married a few months ago but due to health issues he wasn’t able to attend. We promised each other we’d drink it the next time we saw each other.

He passed away suddenly last month. I never got to see him again and we never got to open it together. My dad was a big fan of pairing the right wine with the right dish. I want to open the wine with my husband in his memory but I want to get the full experience my dad would have wanted. He’ll definitely be angry with me wherever he is if I didn’t enjoy it properly haha

Any help would be appreciated. I don’t know if I should even open it because it feels wrong to without dad but I know he wouldn’t want it to sit on a shelf.
