Roasted dong ding recs?
I'm looking for a nice roasted oolong similar to the Laoshi roasted Dong Ding Tillerman Teas used to sell. A photo of the exact one is included; i distinctively remember it having tastes predominantly of buttered toast, croissants, and nuts; it was incredibly well balanced, without much of a "high mountain" taste or any fruity or acidic notes until many steepings in. A lot of what i've tried, while great, has not hit this specific "gourmand" style and instead focus more on fruity notes or are a bit too oxidized. I prefer charcoal roast compared to electric but hey, if it hits this vibe i'm willing to try it either way. I've already tried: * floating leaves traditional "A" * floating leaves charcoal roast dong ding * floating leaves buddha's hand * mud & leaves roasted alishan * wang family bagua shan * wang family competition dong ding * sazentea orthodox dong ding (this has been the closest, and would be my replacement if it wasn't sold out) Any help or recs are appreciated!
