From the famous ‘La Liviniere’ area - here is an excellent organic Shiraz. If you aren’t in a Shiraz fan, I urge you to try that one. It might change your mind.

The color is a deep, opaque purple, almost black. You know this is not a lightweight before even taking a sip !

The nose is strong, with a complex mix of berries, licorice and pine trees.

It has none of that disgusting sugary sweetness that plagues a lot of Shiraz. Instead, it’s pure long, velvety smooth power with a lovely minty trailing end.

A brilliant wine that paired beautifully with a grilled ribeye.

Outstanding value for a wine in the $20-$30 range.

Despite being aged 12 months in new oak barrels, it is not particularly woody.
