I had my first experience with In-N-Out! I was very excited. Fantastic experience. The burger was the star. The salad was very fresh. Great sauce. The bun was perfection - toasted so the edges were crispy but the bread remained pillowy soft. The plain fries were meh. The animal-style fries with chopped chilis were very good. The fries were a topping delivery system. My chocolate milkshake was basically a McDonald’s chocolate shake - not great, not bad.

The burger on its own, 9.3 / 10.

I would place the burger alone right on par with the burgers from Five Guys. Five Guys’ patties are slightly better than In-N-Out’s, but In-N-Out’s crazy fresh veggies and bun perfection really changed the way I enjoyed a fast food burger. Culver’s and NE Ohio staple Swenson’s are still the best in the game to me.
