My son is obsessed with the Mo Willems books so I made him a pigeon cake. It took 3 sponges and a butt tonne of buttercream. The cake was too big for the fridge so I had to do it without chilling the crumb coat and it's so hot it was melting as i put it on. I forgot to get black food colouring so had to use one of those little tubes of writing icing. It's the first cake I've done in a year.
