Update to anyone who saw my question the other day about using glitter to make white buttercream look silver… and cake decorating with chronic pain ????

First off, thank you to those who replied to my post https://www.reddit.com/r/ cakedecorating/s/65vK8NRgHi

Unfortunately, everything pretty much went awry because after baking the actual cake, I had a major, painful flare up with a chronic neuromuscular disorder I have ????. So just making buttercream, getting my coats on and trying to pipe for my frozen buttercream transfer was incredibly difficult. But here’s the cake, I did my best. I know it’s not very nice but at least it tasted good and my family of course still appreciated it. I ended up doing a banner on top instead of writing happy birthday on the side as planned but forgot to get a pic of that. My hands were cramping and shaking piping the transfer so don’t zoom in lol. I did paint some glitter on the bottom border which I ended up just doing white even though the plan was to have tricolor with silver/white/black. As people said, it didn’t show up too much. Even my star border which I love to do was messy.

If anyone else out there has a chronic, painful condition, any tips for managing doing a cake are much appreciated! I refuse to give up what I normally enjoy even if it does turn out a bit of a mess ????. It’s the thought that counts, right?
