So I got married almost a year ago and we get a free cake for anniversary from the bakery that made our wedding cake. Problem is me and my husband are COMPLETE opposite in our preferred flavors. We remedied this at our wedding by getting two layers and two separate flavors, carrot cake (for him) and lavender cake with lemon curd and a honey vanilla frosting for me. I was so hoping he'd go for my choice for the anniversary cake but he's not going for it.

Here's our combination options, he does not like any fruit flavors really including the strawberry or raspberry mouse, or the coconut lime curd and he does not like lemon so those flavors are out. He'd honestly just like a plain chocolate cake but I want something more exciting. I figure how many times can we get unique flavors like this, we can get a chocolate cake any time??

Anyway, please help put together flavor options that would be good together. I personally am drawn to the vanilla bean custard but what cake and frosting would go with it?
