Basil and cucumber seeds germinated in only 3 days!
![]() | Just started my first vegetable garden, and sowed basil, cucumber, and beet seeds straight into my raised bed. All of the cucumber seeds have sprouted which is very exciting. And it seems 2 of my basil seeds have sprouted today as well. I googled if basil seeds could sprout in 3 days, because I had expected it to take a week or longer, and the answer was yes, but it’s unlikely to be a healthy seedling. That sounds ridiculous to me because I would think it was a healthy seedling if it sprouted so quickly. Is this true?? The climate where I live (9a) has been in the 70s and super humid and overcast, so I thought they sprouted so fast because the conditions were optimal for them. [link] [comments] |
