Hello everyone! I’m new to this community, and I’m grateful for its existence.

I’ve recently started growing and propagating my own plants, and one of these is avocados.

I planted this avocado on the 8th of April 2025 and today (3rd May 2025) I discovered that a root has emerged.

I’m super happy with this progress. I also have another seed that I’m trying to get to germinate, and it’s showing good promise with a healthy crack and uniform colour.

Not to get sentimental, but certain parts of this year have been very difficult for me, and so planting vegetables and having something like this to look forward to has done absolute wonders to keep me grounded and especially in terms of avocados, recognise that even the most difficult looking situations produce something good.

In that time since the 8th of April, I have also regrown spring onions, planted bell peppers and chilies. I’ve planted a red onion that I used a couple of days ago, and I’m excited to see its progress as well! I have many progress pictures, and I hope to be able to share them in this community someday with people who can understand my newfound excitement for seeing these things pay off!
