I’ve been battling rats & mice in my run/coop. It’s embarrassing and I’ve tried everything from baking soda, live traps, snap traps, ratX, instant potatoes, and smoking/flooding the tunnels out. I’m now at the point where I’m debating a barn cat. The coop is a large shed, heated, and the cat would be fed & taken care of. But do cats help deter rats? Or is this going to be an ongoing battle and I need to call and exterminator??
