I watched a tutorial of a guy hitting his hole punch with one good strike of a mallet and it goes straight through the leather. I’ve tried on 3 different types of softness/thickness and my hole punch doesn’t want to go through any of them, even with like… 20+ hard strikes of a mallet. I’m hitting them square. Maybe because I’m working on the floor and not a hard surface? Or is the set I got just rubbish?
