Eggs and Medicine

Eggs and Medicine

Yolk was a healthy hen that normally free ranges in my secured backyard. Unfortunately a determined dog got ahold of her yesterday. Dog, healthy and up to date on shots and is just an asshole, per vet , who the dog also sees. She got away and the dog issue was taken care of. Took her to the vet and they stitched her up and gave her a strong broad spectrum antibiotic to take care of any infection that could come from the bites. She’s looking rough but seems to be handling it well(could be the pain killers he prescribed too).

My question is, she still laid an egg today. While she’s on pain medicine and had the antibiotic injection yesterday, does anyone know, what do I do with the eggs? Safe to eat, throw out, scramble them and feed it back to chickens. There is only one chicken vet in the area and they’re out the rest of the week so can’t ask them and all of the searches I’ve found so far, are chickens sick with an active infection on antibiotics. Not, heathy but attacked here’s an antibiotic as a preventative type measure.

Picture of heathy Yolk a few days prior, y’all don’t need to see the stitched up, featherless aftermath.
