Pork and sauerkraut
| I don’t know the extent of the folk tradition but eating pork and sauerkraut on New Year’s Day is considered good luck in SW Pennsylvania. I’m especially proud of this because I raised and processed the pig, and grew and fermented the cabbage myself. It’s definitely a rewarding feeling. [link] [comments] |
