My goodest boy
| Seen others showing off their roo's here and giving random/fun info so figured i would have my turn. This is Mr.Sparrow, my Whyandotte roo, he's the sweetest boy I've ever raised and such a patient gentleman, he tolerates so so so much, I'm able to pick him up, give him a bath(he had a really bad mite infection last year and I wanted to get them off him ASAP), I'm able to pick at his ears(currently dealing with a ear infection and I have to get the wax and crusty stuff off and out of his ears) he at least takes his medicine with no issue while being held away from the thieving girls, and he doesn't put up much fight when i need to grind down his beak when the bottom gets too long, he's only ever half pecked me once and that during the bath, didn't even leave a mark, he doesn't mind being picked up and held but he hates being set down because of being dropped by my brother as a chick, he's my last surviving adult roo, his brother's were either culled for being aggressive assholes or taken by predators, he has 24 ladies all to himself until his son matures, he's a wonderful leader to his flock, he's survived 2 separate raccoon attacks with only taking some damage to his comb and beak giving him an underbite which I'm trying to slowly fix, he refuses to get up onto the roosting bars until I go out and close the coop door and he hears the latch lock, he absolutely loves sunflower seeds and even pushes the girls out of the way tho he still makes sure to take his treats gently when being hand fed, he's so far proving to be good father and is very tolerant of his children trying to eat his beard(waddles) even at 4 months old when their mama has stopped mothering them, I'm hoping he teaches his son how to be a gentleman like him, i think that just about sums up my gentleman roo!
