Has anyone noticed if different breeds have different qualities of egg…
| One thing I’ve noticed with our flock of chickens, is our Rhode Island Red laid eggs that were just about the most perfect eggs for poaching. They came out beautiful every time, whereas the other breeds we have, we’re all pretty bad for poaching specifically. The whites would spread and make a mess. Would something like this be a breed trait or more of an individual trait? Unfortunately she’s our only RIR and she seems to be done laying, as I haven’t gotten any eggs from her for at least 6 months. Id love to hear if you have a chicken or a breed of chicken whose eggs are best for a specific use. [link] [comments] |
