I’m hoping it shows up in this photo. Some areas of our soil are developing this green layer on the very top - in some of our individual pots and a bit now in our larger garden beds in the ground.

Is this harmful to what’s growing, or it’s normal? We didn’t experience this last year but there’s been a ton of rain the last few weeks which I’m thinking could be affecting something?
