This feels like a stupid question but I am a first-time chicken mom. I have an Omlet Eglu Cube. It has a sliding door for the nesting area which I've kept closed since putting my pullets in the coop and run. They're about to be 14 weeks and I'm unsure when they'll start laying (because of it being fall, nearing winter where I am), so I have yet to make the nesting box "available" to them. When should I put bedding in and open the door to give them access?
