My mom recently lost 2 chickens to a coyote attack and is devastated. She has put her heart and soul into giving her ladies a good life, so we would appreciate any and all advice on how we can make them safer and help to protect from attacks.

While the ladies were typically free-range during the day and cooped up at night, since the coyote attacked, they're limited to this chicken wire pen (top is covered) during the day unless someone can actively supervise them. They're currently (and understandably) too afraid to even leave the coop unless a person is there with them. Whatever we can do to help them feel more secure and keep them protected, we'd like to do that... just need a little direction.
