| 21 days would have been Tuesday, but the first one waited until today. I was worried with how cold it is but she proved she knows what she’s doing! She’s been such a diligent girl, and getting hand fed cracked corn in the afternoon when I know it’s getting cold at night. I know the coop is warm and secure, so I let her do her thing. I never moved her from the coop (and the favorite nest box) and all the hens have left her alone. I gave her eggs from different hens, all the same rooster. As a side note, the rooster started randomly crowing last night at 10 pm which he has never done. I think he knew his baby was hatching and was cheering! [link] [comments] |
