I sow 6 pumpkins at start of july which is late for the uk as people put plants out in mid May and sow in April, I put them in a bed after I dug up my early potatoes I used 6x chicken manure pellets and once a fruit had set I feed with tomato feed I let the plant grow 6 ft long and cut the end off, I also cut side shoots and I cut every flower that pop up and I managed to get 6 average size pumpkin even with been planted out 8 weeks later then normal
