Feel free to tell me I’m an idiot. My friends are playing with the idea of buying 20+ acres and putting some cabins on it. We could use them some weekends and airbnb them the rest of the time. One of the friends is an industrial engineer who created and ran a facility to prefab apartments that are later stacked on site. My dream is to prefab units with the aesthetic of the Ark Shelter in the picture. Sell them if there was a buyer, use them if not. Ideally they would fit on a heavy duty rollback and just dropped on site. What am I not thinking about here? Am I an idiot? Anyone with enough knowledge to estimate cost assuming it was 10x40’ to fit on the rollback. Would a wood frame hold up and would windows break during transportation?
