Today I found one of my ducks dead with it's neck ripped open. She had an eye missing, but otherwise seemed unharmed. She was lying on her back. I have a five foot electric fence with six strands of wire, and a two-foot high poultry fence inside of that.

I would like to learn what animal might have killed her, so that I can try and prevent this from happening again. I have only one duck now, so if you know a place I could get her another, adult, companion, I would like to hear about it. I live in southern Illinois.
