This piece was completed in the summer of 2023 and marks my first attempt at cross-stitching. While there are a few mistakes here and there, I’m still happy with how it turned out. I worked on this during a time of emotional turmoil and resentment, which is part of why I chose this design. It’s inspired by a Russian folktale. I had to frog a couple of times, but it was worth all the effort! This project taught me so much about the medium, and shortly after Christmas, I completed a larger pattern with a few French knots and some backstitching. I’ll make a post of that one later!

In the meantime, I’m really looking forward to start a full coverage piece this year — waiting for the kit to ship soon!
