My nine year old grandson loves his pet rosy boa (snake). When I told him it was his turn to have an afghan and asked him what kind of design he wanted, he said he wanted a blanket with snakes on it. This is how it turned out. He is very pleased with the results. The yarn is Lion Brand Thick and Quick. The color is called Coney Island. The snakes are three stitches stockinette with one stitch crossed in the back. I put in some short rows to give the background garter stitch more interest, and lots of “boulders” for the snakes to crawl among. It’s unique and was a lot of fun.
