I finally upgraded my crochet hooks!
| (I’m not sure if this is the right flair, so I apologize for that. Also, a repost because the OG post was taken down ????) I started getting into crochet seriously way back in 2020 (to alleviate my anxiety and also because I got bored during the COVID-19 lockdown), and I got my crochet hooks from an online shop. They were cheap, but at the time, they served me well. I even thought there was no point in me getting a new set of expensive hooks because the ones I had were functional enough. Unfortunately, I came to realize too soon that there was a reason these hooks were super cheap: because they weren't good. They were uncomfortable to hold, and I couldn't last long because my hands kept cramping. Eventually, it came to a point that I started considering investing in high-quality crochet hooks. I kept seeing the Tulip Rose hook set, but when I saw the price, I balked, and I reasoned out that I could survive with the ones l had. Fast forward to 2024: I'm once again at the peak of my crocheting, and now, I can't really ignore the hand cramps I kept having and the frustration I kept feeling because of how the hooks snagged on the yarn. Finally, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and buy the hook set. I still balked at the price, but I had enough! Fortunately for me, it's all worth it in the end because the Tulip Rose crochet hooks work like a dream! They glide through yarn like butter, so I don't have to scream in frustration anymore. And I don't feel hand cramps anymore! I don't know what it is about these hooks, but they're just so comfortable to hold. I can actually crochet for hours on end now, and I only have to stop because I need to eat, work (yes, I crochet in the midst of working; shh, don't tell my boss!), or sleep. Needless to say, I love these hooks! I can't believe I didn't upgrade to them sooner. ???? [link] [comments] |
