I forget how fast blackwork can go sometimes- it's nice to get a quick finish once in awhile! Whee, serotonin boost! ????

Anyway- this pattern really could have used a stitch order guide! Most of those lil' gears have fractional stitching involved, so you're kinda on your own to figure out if you should be crossing threads or dropping between holes. And if you do cross threads, what order makes it not look like a failed French knot?!

My advice- it's clockwork, so sew like clockwork! Most of these divide into symmetrical quarters. Move around the shape, completing the same line in each quarter before moving to the next line. If the last line crosses over another, stitch it under (makes more sense while you're doing it.) The pattern is from ExLibrist on Etsy if you want to try it!

Yes I know the folds didn't iron out- I bought the material secondhand, it's apparently been folded a LONG time! I'll try again another day, wash it first...
