First completed project of 2025. Pattern is from Owl Forest Sirin Bird. Unfortunately it was a long wait to get their own hand dyed threads (also an insane shipping cost), so I selected my options from DMC. I used 51, 53, 59, 90, 92, 93, 115.

It was my first time using variegated thread and changing the colours. Am I happy with the result? Meh, not so sure. But my mum absolutely adored it while it was a WIP so I’ll gift it to her. I made very dumb mistakes while stitching it, like the moon is a bit off - it was supposed to be more towards the right. I really have no idea how managed to count that wrong.

At one point I’ll restitch it using Threadworx thread, but for now I’m taking a long break from variegated ones. My next project is Butterfly Bouquet by Sprouting Bouquet.
