Please help me keep the faith on this gift that almost definitely won’t be done in time

I knew immediately following last Christmas that I wanted to make my best friend a Muppets blanket this Christmas and I set out looking for C2C patterns (I got really into C2C last year). I ended up finding one that required supporting someone’s Patreon for a month and as soon as I saw it, I kind of suspected that what the person was doing was putting pictures into Stitch Fiddle and playing with the hook and yarn sizes until it all sounded reasonable. I knew that was a risk I was taking going into this. I also recognized that there was almost no editing going into the pattern so there are truly bonkers color changes that happen for almost no reason. Again, I knew all of this.

I started the blanket Labor Day weekend and it has been intensely slow going. The pattern has 300 rows total and I am currently at row 137 (the picture is actually when I was at row 134 I think). It is not looking good for being done by Christmas, especially as I have a one week trip in the middle where I cannot bring it with me. All that said when it is done, it should be fairly epic. I’m just getting a little discouraged about the “almost definitely won’t be done in time“ part.

I don’t need actual advice, I just needed other people who crochet to see this as no one else in my life crochets and so I’m doing this completely in a vacuum.
