I come from a culture where boundaries and individual choices are always disrespected by so called elders. This piece is inspired by the invalidation I faced from my sister in-laws and their extended family for our healthy lifestyle and life choices. I held so much anger,especially knowing I never owed them anything. Created using backstitch and long & short stitch to shape the flames.
