I have spent hours making these double lined potholders for a Christmas gift with leftover yarn that no longer had the skein label on it. I was super proud of how they came out so I showed a coworker and she asked if it was acrylic, which then turned into the shattering realization that you can’t make potholders with acrylic yarn as it will melt. I did a burn test on the yarn that I used and I am almost certain that it’s definitely acrylic :( can they be used for anything at all? I feel like I just wasted so much time and will now have to redo them from the beginning with only 6 days until Christmas
