stitched this beautiful “oriental cat” piece for my mum’s birthday. i found it on pinterest from this blog (http://retrodesigning.blogspot.com/2013/04/banishing-blues.html?m=1).

since there was no pattern provided or for sale over there, and the post being over a decade old, i self-drafted my own. all the programs i used (all free): stitch fiddle for all the full cross stitches, floss cross for the fractional stitches and to export the pattern, and markup R-XP to mark off as i worked.

also my first time framing and using fractional stitches which was fun! i just hate how the piece isn’t perfectly straight in the frame????
