I just wanted to thank you all for keeping this art form alive.
| I grew up embroidering for 4-H with my grandma as my teacher. I’m still trying to break out of the rigid box 4-H set for me like having pretty backgrounds, wasting the least amount of thread as possible, or only doing quilt blocks. As an adult I took a step back from it when my grandma passed three years ago. But now I look at all of the beautiful projects on here and am just amazed at the creativity each one of you has. So thank you for learning and continuing to learn about embroidery. I scroll through and you all make me want to pick up the needle again! Let me go before i get way too sappy. Here’s my converse with the free hand flowers and bee(shoes are so hard to stick lol so only the left shoe). Love you all and may you get poked a little less in the future. [link] [comments] |
